Aging Metrics
A few drops of blood is all you need.
Our at-home collection kit makes gathering your sample easy. Once our lab receives your sample, you can expect your report back within 2-3 weeks.
Learn about which health markers could affect your life, today and in the future.
Compare your current habits against the ones that clinical research has shown can reduce epigenetic aging.

What is Biological Age?
Biological Aging is the gradual loss of function at a cellular and molecular level.
When the cell’s instructions written in your DNA get muddled or shut down, outward signs of aging begin to appear – from wrinkles to a higher likelihood of developing chronic disease. When this process is happening faster than it should be, that’s called accelerated aging.
Accelerated biological aging is the #1 risk factor for many chronic diseases.
What is Epigenetics?
Epigenetics is the link between your genes and your environment. It is what your body uses to change how your genes are working without changing the DNA itself.
If your DNA was a recipe book, then epigenetic marks are like handwritten notes that you use to tweak the recipe's steps.
What changes Biological Age?
Epigenetic markers for Biological Age first start to change while you’re still in the womb, and continue to change throughout your entire life.
These changes happen in response to nearly every choice you make. Nutrition, exercise habits, medications, injuries, environmental pollutions, how much sleep you’re getting, the stress you’re enduring, and much more.
It’s a long list, but recent studies have found that changing those factors can also change your Biological Age in as little as 8 weeks.
TESTING WORK?
As soon as your sample arrives at our Lexington laboratory, we get to work on extracting your DNA and begin the process of examining your unique pattern of epigenetic markers.
TruDiagnostic uses state-of-the-art analysis to read and record these patterns. We then gather your results into a comprehensive report packed full of valuable information about your Biological Age and health.
You can follow a sample through our lab and learn all about the individual steps!
TRUAGE FOREVER
All it takes is the first sample to unlock the mystery of your epigenome.
Unlike other Epigenetic services, the TruAge report is a growing, changing report. You will receive a lifetime of updates on new gene risks as we discover them, and any new TruAge test you take will include those new reports.
You can track your progress in reducing your age, and even track your efforts to change the expression of specific genes.
FAQ
The epigenetic marker we analyze is called DNA methylation. It is currently the most useful and accurate way to measure the biological processes of aging.
When your body wants to regulate the expression of a gene, it attaches or detaches methylation to that area of your DNA.
Every type of tissue has a different epigenetic signature. As a result, the type of tissue you test is very important, and can influence the data you get from analyzing it.
Almost all of the published algorithms for longevity based epigenetic clocks were created using whole blood as the reference tissue.
As a result we prioritize blood collection as the primary type of analysis to make sure your results are as accurate as possible.
Of course!
All of our customers automatically recieve a copy of 1,300 of their CpG beta values with their Complete Collection. These are the CpG most commonly used in other aging algorithms.
