Location: Lexington, Kentucky

Wage: $12-$15 /hr 

Full Time Hours: 8 Hour Shift. 9:00am - 5:30pm, Monday-Friday

Remote Work?: No

Reports to: Lab Manager 

It is preferred that the Lab Technician have experience in general molecular biology techniques including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, high throughput automation of RNA or DNA, and molecular genetic techniques. All tasks and duties must be completed in accordance and compliance with HIPAA guidelines, State and Federal laws, and current company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out molecular biology experiments following established SOP and/or guidance of laboratory management
Receive test samples according to SOPs
Perform DNA/RNA extraction, quantification, and gel QC per SOPs
Perform PCR, PCR clean up, and DNA sequencing per SOPs
Report experimental results to project managers in a timely manner
Follow established quality management policies and GLP and GMP practices
Performs other duties as assigned

Experience and Educations Requirements:

Bachelors of Science in Chemistry or Biology
GMP experience a plus
1+ years of previous industry laboratory experience is preferred
Industry experience in microbiology strongly preferred
Excellent communication skills
Be able to closely follow established SOPs

Experience with genetic lab work preferred
Experience with Illumina equipment preferred
Experience with Tecan machines preferred
